FAQs

Is your question about advertising?

You may find the answer your looking for on our 'How to advertise' page.

Can I choose the position of my adverts?

We are able to position your advert according to the advertising section it will appear under with a relevant heading. For example, holidays to the Lake District would appear beneath a Lake District heading within the UK Travel marketplace. We cannot guarantee exact positioning on the page, although we always do our best to get the most prominent position for our clients. Advertisers have found response from The Mail exceeds expectations time and time again regardless of where their ad appears on the page - so your biggest decision should be ensuring you book advertising space in the paper and not where on the page your ad appears!

Can I request a feature?

If you would like to discuss an additional feature we are happy to discuss this and see how we can help.

Can you supply me with specific readership stats?

We have a dedicated marketing team who are happy to supply you with readership stats, simply email classified.marketing@mailnewspapers.co.uk your request and a member of the team will get back to you.

Do you offer discounts for a trial?

We can offer introductory discounts to new advertisers. We also have a structure in place that allows your advertising to be more cost effective with series bookings. Please contact us for further details.

What features do you have coming up?

We publish exclusive advertising features for many of our categories. Please visit our editorial features page to access a detailed listing of our forthcoming special advertising features.

What is the difference between Classified and Display?

Display advertisements traditionally appear at the front and back of the paper, whereas classified ads appear towards the middle of the paper. Classified ads in the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday appear within dedicated sections of the newspaper which are clearly signposted for our readers. This means our readers can turn to classified as they know where to find these ads. This dedication has allowed us to coin the term, 'classified is sought and display seeks'. Advertisers are able to use creative shapes and sizes of ads to ensure standout which draws attention to their product or service.
